Innovate El Paso attended the 7th annual Border Security Conference, Re-Envisioning the Border Community to Foster a U.S.-Mexico Partnership for Prosperity, Progress, and Socio-Economic Development, on August 12-13, 2010, on the UTEP campus. The Conference was co-hosted by UTEP, the Office of Congressman Silvestre Reyes, and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).  Several hundred leaders from the public and private sectors in Mexico and the United States provided a forum for the exploration of the best methods for safeguarding a common border while continuing to foster the human and economic development of the two nations.
